Centro de Investigación "Markets, Culture & Ethics"

Mce

Workshop: Transparency and Accountability in the Catholic Church - A Practical Journey. June 17-21, 2024

On June 17-21, 2024, the Markets, Culture and Ethics (MCE) Research Centre will host the International Workshop Transparency and Accountability in the Catholic Church: A Practical Journey. The workshop was developed in collaboration with St. Thomas University's John A. Ryan Institute, St. Mary University in Twickenham, London, and the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.

The workshop aims to empower Catholic Church leaders by providing them with actionable insights for implementing transparency within their organisations or areas of influence. Specific objectives include:

  • Investigating transparency from every angle: our all-encompassing approach will investigate the ethical, financial, accounting, cultural, and communicative aspects of transparency.
  • Providing leaders with the tools and strategies they need to foster a culture of transparency within their respective domains.
  • Providing a 360-Degree Practical Approach: Participants will walk away with a customised action plan designed to catalyse tangible change within their organisations.

Dear Friends of MCE,

The academic year is going to start again soon, and we are embarking on this new journey with happy news!

In August 2022, our Giulia Latella won a full scholarship at the University of Navarra! Giulia's academic profile caught the interest of the outgoing Dean of the School for Business and Economics, Ignacio Ferrero, who is one of the business ethics professors. In the past, he was also the thesis coordinator of Marta Rocchi. This scholarship covers Giulia’s entire doctoral program of 3 years in all.
