Conference on "The Individual Challenged by Knowledge" promoted by the Research group "Rediscovering the individual"
On 12–13 June 2025 the the research group Rediscovering the Individual: Misadventures, Drifts and Returns of a Fundamental Notion. An inquiry into a reshaped metaphysics organised the conference entitled “The Individual Challenged by Knowledge”.
The event offered an interdisciplinary opportunity to reflect on the notion of the individual in light of the challenges posed by contemporary science, philosophy, and technology.
The conference brought together philosophers, scientists, and scholars to explore how the idea of the individual is being tested—and at times redefined—by epistemological transformations and the evolving frontiers of knowledge.
