Abstract: The Church is engaged in the economy in many important ways. In many countries, she provides health care, charitable services, and educates substantial portions of the future workforce. At the same time, she must fund these institutions and largely relies on the generosity of her members to fund current expenses and plan for the future. This session will focus on these economic issues that the Church directly faces. It will also discuss the impact of the sex scandals in the Church on membership and participation".
