On Thursday, November 30, 2023 (at 3:30 PM, Aula Álvaro del Portillo), on the initiative of the "Giuseppe De Carli" Cultural Association and in collaboration with the School of Church Communications, a Roundtable on "Hope and its Faces" will be held, followed by the ceremony for the seventh edition of the "Giuseppe De Carli" Award. This award is dedicated to the memory of the Rai Vatican journalist who passed away in 2010.
After the greetings from prof. Daniel Arasa, dean of the School of Communication, and Giovanni Tridente, president of the De Carli Association, speakers at the roundtable will include Santiago Sanz, professor of Eschatology at the School of Theology, and Piero Dominici, sociology professor at the University of Perugia. The concluding reflections will be entrusted to Bishop Rino Fisichella, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization and coordinator of events for the Jubilee 2025.
Following this, the winners of the seventh edition will be announced, and the best works from the three sections will be awarded: "Church, War, and Peace"; "Narrating Migrations: Stories, Faces, Hopes"; and "The Role of Religious Traditions in Dialogue, Peace, and Freedom." The last two sections were organized in collaboration with the "Communication and Migrants" Committee and the "Journalism & Religious Traditions" Committee.
